Halcyon Institute analysts are former members of the US Special Operations Community who developed their applied critical thinking skills while serving as operators, scholars, and intelligence officers. Over the past three decades, we have worked some of the most intractable, complex, and fundamental national security challenges our Nation has faced.
Continuing to serve, we now use these skills to provide unique perspectives that challenge conventional wisdom and question assumptions on a wide range of topics, including: public policy, geopolitical affairs, dual use technology, international conflict, and national security.
Our goal throughout is to produce well researched, thought-provoking products that will help inform decision-makers, create constructive debate, and to challenge our thinking before our adversaries do.
